In the timeless words of River Song "Spoilers". YAY to
my fellow Whovians that got that reference.
On with the blurb:
A soul divided by race and hate due to his
breeding, a bloodline born of angelic purity and driven by his vampire lust for
blood, Tyrian is a half breed from a union forbidden and feared. He is rescued
as an infant by a Guardian's guide, Daira, who stows him away safely hidden
within a valley hidden from the depravity and misconceptions of man and
shrouded by mists. In the valley far from humans and among others of different
breeds, Tyrian learns that even in the sanctuary with the Guardians, Fate
continues to rule his life.
Jaral, loyal Guardian and warrior of his race, accepts the duty of Tyrian's protection. Only, he crosses the forbidden barrier and falls in love with his ward. Although he fights his attraction and love for his charge, Jaral is unable to withstand the desire Tyrian stirs within him. Desperate to ensure Tyrian remains untainted, he faces his Elders and the punishment he is sure to receive.
As Tyrian’s and Jaral’s lives become perilously entwined only the bond of love and an eternity spent within the mist shrouded valley could keep their world from shattering apart. As Jaral's fate as a Guardian hangs in the balance, danger presents itself in the form of two vampire’s intent on Tyrian's death. Will Fate intervene and grant them a life in the Mists?

Intrigued? Itching to read? You should
be. This is VL Moon’s debut in the M/M genre as well as her first solo
published work. I have to say I believe she nailed it. VL Moon has a gift of
taking the written word and being able to paint a picture with it. I could
close my eyes and see this stunning new world, fell like I was there. Tyrian
and Jaral both are strong vibrant males, yet their longing broke my heart. There
is a scene toward the end, I won’t give any details because I don’t want to completely
ruin it for you, but I will say that I had been so pulled into what was playing
out that I was on the edge of my seat while reading it. I do believe I talked
out loud to the character trying to get him to listen to me….didn’t work LOL
Turns out author knows best and I truly loved the ending.
VL Moon is an amazing writer; I have
had to privilege and pleasure to read her work for the last few years. I know
for a fact she is going to go far and we will be reading her work for years to
come.
